SALT LAKE CITY — A Sandy man faces numerous felony charges accusing him of posing as a teenage boy on social media and later sexually abusing two young girls under the age of 13.

Jorge Alberto Irra, 25, was charged Friday in 3rd District Court with four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and sodomy on a child, first-degree felonies; four counts of enticing a minor by internet, a second-degree felony; two counts of dealing in harmful materials to a minor, a third-degree felony; and lewdness involving a child, a class A misdemeanor.

A $500,000 warrant was issued for his arrest on Friday.

Beginning in March, Irra contacted a 12-year-old girl on Instagram claiming he was a 16-year-old boy, according to charging documents. Police say his conversations with the girl included graphic questions about sex.

One week after contacting her, Irra asked the girl to sneak out of her house to meet him, according to charging documents. The girl asked if she could bring a 10-year-old relative with her and if they could all “smoke.”

After sneaking out about 4 a.m., all three smoked marijuana and got high and Irra began kissing the 12-year-old, according to charging documents.

“(The girl) told Irra she was not going to do that, she is not that kind of girl, and does not let anybody touch her like that,” the charges state, adding that Irra continued to inappropriately touch the girl, and assaulted her after she briefly passed out.

The 10-year-old told police that Irra also inappropriately touched her and attempted to pull her clothing off, the charges state.
