Santa Fe Drive paving, South Platte River bridge repairs in Denver start this week

Work to repave Santa Fe Drive and repair the South Platte River bridge in Denver is set to begin this week, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Crews will repave the northbound and southbound lanes of Santa Fe between the Interstate 25 interchange and Florida Avenue, agency officials said.

The project includes deck repairs on the South Platte River bridge and new sidewalks, ramps, signs and striping.

At least one lane of Santa Fe will stay open between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday until the project is finished, likely in August.

One and two-lane closures will happen throughout the project and drivers can expect delays up to 10 minutes, state officials said.
