MAGA-aligned Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is boasting on social media that for the second year in the row, “Arkansas ranks #1 in the nation for inbound movers.”
As seen below, Sanders said “people love our low taxes, our high quality of life” and that the state has “invested in things like public safety, education, and access to healthcare.” (Note: All states invest in these sectors.)
The former White House Press Secretary during the first Trump administration then claimed that “people are flocking away from California and New York, they don’t want to be in blue states anymore. They want normal over crazy.”
Breaking news: for the second year in the row, Arkansas ranks #1 in the nation for inbound movers.
That’s what happens when you cut taxes, invest in education, and defend our God-given rights. To those coming from blue states: just don’t forget why you left! pic.twitter.com/KaM7tTnWNz

Huckabee Sanders then issued a warning to those “flocking from blue states,” and said: “We just want to remind them when they get here, don’t bring the crazy left policies with you, and remember why you left the blue states in the first place.”
She followed that up with: “Welcome to Arkansas, we’re glad you’re here.”
More than one X user objected to Huckabee Sanders’ boast and asked “where does Arkansas rank in education against the rest of the U.S. states and territories?”
According to Arkansas Times, based on data from NAEP, “Arkansas’s 2024 performance on a key K-12 standardized test shows the state trailing national averages in math and reading scores among elementary and middle school students.”
According to U.S. News & World Report, Arkansas is ranked #38 out of the 50 states in education, #39 in healthcare access, and #46 in public safety.
