Vandalism: At 3:50 p.m. someone tore down a sign at Westhope Presbyterian Church on Saratoga Avenue, causing about $350 in damage.

Theft by false pretenses: A Saratoga resident said someone convinced them to send money under the pretense that it was meant to secure a loan to purchase commercial property. The money was misappropriated, and the victim never received the loan, for a total loss of about $500,000.
Theft by false pretenses: A Saratoga resident said someone convinced them to sign a property deed in lieu of foreclosure to avoid filing for bankruptcy. The suspect promised to return the property to the victim after her financial issues were resolved, but the suspect never returned the property. The total financial loss is unknown.
June 17
Criminal threats: A Saratoga resident said someone sent them a text message with criminal threats.
Petty theft: At 6:08 p.m., someone stole three mail packages from the front porch of a residence in the 12000 block of Radoyka Drive for a total loss valued at approximately $215.
June 19
Shoplifting: At 5:19 p.m., someone entered Safeway in the Argonaut Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and stole merchandise valued at approximately $142.
June 21
Battery causing serious bodily injury: At 9 p.m., deputies responded to a prior assault at a residence in the 13000 block of Shadow Oaks Way. An investigation revealed the suspect kicked the victim, causing the victim to fall to the ground and sustain a concussion. The suspect was arrested and booked into juvenile hall.
