Battery: At 12:33 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 13000 block of Shadow Oaks Way. An investigation revealed the suspect hit the victim twice in the chest with an internet modem. The suspect was cited and released.
Organized retail theft: At 9:26 p.m., someone entered Safeway in the Argonaut Shopping Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and stole merchandise valued at approximately $1,000.

Theft by false pretense: Saratoga residents reported using a fraudulent website believed to be an airline company’s legitimate web page to change a connecting flight for their upcoming travel itinerary. Instead, they provided personal information and a total of $3,600 to an unknown suspect.
May 21
Vehicle burglary: At 3 a.m., someone broke through a window of a vehicle parked in the 18000 block of Paseo Lado. Nothing was reported stolen.
May 22
Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to access their airline rewards account and redeemed miles for a total loss valued at approximately $4,580.
May 23
Robbery At 1:17 p.m., someone entered Safeway in the Argonaut Shopping Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road, asked an employee to open a locked cabinet, and then stole merchandise valued at approximately $800 from that cabinet, threatening to hit an employee who intervened.
May 24
Petty theft: At 3:15 a.m., someone stole a bicycle from the carport of an apartment in the 14000 block of Big Basin Way for a total loss of about $480.
