Schoolgirl, 15, killed in house fire with woman, 67, is named

A teenager killed in a house fire near Milton Keynes has been named after the ‘unexplained’ blaze that claimed two lives.

Ann Eyre, 15, died along with a 67-year-old woman after a house fire on St Patrick’s Way, Bletchley.

Detectives are now investigating the deaths as unexplained after the blaze, which happened on Friday.

The emergency services were alerted at about 12.10pm, and the firefighters were able to quickly bring the flames under control.

Thames Valley Police said: ‘The victims’ next of kin have been informed and offered our support.

‘We’d ask people to respect her family’s privacy at this incredibly difficult time.’

The 67-year-old woman has not been formally identified yet, the police said.

People paid tribute to Ann on social media, saying she was the ‘most beautiful soul.’

One school friend said: ‘She was in my old school, the Woodlands. She was so smart and funny. I knew her but we spoke once in a while when we could, but she will be missed and her smile will be missed.’

Another person wrote: ‘Such a beautiful soul. You lit up the room with your smile. Keep blowing those bubbles up there.’

A friend said: ‘The most beautiful soul.’

‘What a beautiful girl with her whole life ahead. Thinking of your family at a very difficult time,’ another person said.
