Students at several schools in northwest suburban Bartlett were placed on lockdown Tuesday after receiving a phone threat.
About 1:30 p.m., the National Suicide Hotline contacted the Bartlett Police Department about a phone threat made against Bartlett High School, village officials said.
As a precaution, police and school district officials placed Bartlett High School, Eastview Middle School and elementary schools on lockdown for the school day.
All schools were safely dismissed by 4:30 p.m. with extra safety patrols, village officials said.
Police and the FBI are investigating.
