Several fast food chains offer burrito bargains for the new year

Southern California fast food chains are greeting the new year with cheap burritos.

Del Taco, based in Lake Forest, has added two new burritos to its Del’s Real Deals lineup. The Bean, Rice & Cheese Burrito is made with cilantro lime rice, grated cheddar cheese and zesty red sauce  and costs. $2.49. The Chipotle Chicken Burrito is made with beans, cilantro lime rice, chipotle sauce and sour cream and costs $2.99.

Del Taco has also added limited-time beverages to its menu. Dragon Fruit Blueberry Poppers are made with Sprite or lemonade and cost $3.49-$4.99. Dragon Fruit Blueberry Shakes cost $4.99.

Miguel’s Jr. is selling original beef or chicken burritos at two for $10. The Corona-based chain has also added pozole with chicken or pork to its menu for a limited time. The soup is available by the bowl or by the quart.

Baker’s Drive-Thru, based in Riverside, continues to feature its bean and cheese burritos in its budget meals, which cost $5.99-$8.29. Most include a second item such as a taco or tostada, plus a soft drink.
