SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks on Thursday provided some details about their upcoming development camp and prospects scrimmage, which could include both Macklin Celebrini and the newly signed Will Smith.
Development camp practices occur July 2-3 at Sharks Ice, with the prospects scrimmaging on July 4 at Tech CU Arena. Other details surrounding the development camp schedule, prospect scrimmage format, and development camp roster will be announced later.
Development camp practices are open to the public, and tickets to the prospect scrimmage went on sale on Thursday at 2 p.m. for members of the team’s elevated fan groups. The presale lasts until 10 a.m. Friday before tickets become available to the general public.
Ticket prices for all presale groups are $40 for all Row 1 seating and $18 for Row 2 and higher. For the general public, the cost is $25 for Row 2 and higher.
Presale group members are asked to monitor their email accounts for purchase links. General public ticket buyers should visit sjsharks.com/thefutureisteal to purchase tickets beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday. Net proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the Sharks Foundation.
The Sharks are expected to select Celebrini, who turned 18 on Thursday, with the first overall pick at the NHL Draft later this month in Las Vegas. If Celebrini is at the development camp, it would mark his first time on the ice in a San Jose Sharks uniform, other than his time with the 14U AAA Jr. Sharks five years ago.
