Sherman Way in Reseda gets a facelift for seven businesses on the commercial corridor

On July 31, Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath, the county’s Department of Economic Opportunity, and Los Angeles City Councilmember Bob Blumenfield celebrated the completion of major façade renovations for three properties with seven small businesses on the Sherman Way commercial corridor in Reseda. The Sherman Way commercial corridor runs from Wilbur Avenue to Lindley Avenue and is considered the heart of downtown Reseda.

Los Angeles County’s Renovate Façade Improvement Program provides grants for commercial property owners and tenants to make exterior improvements to their aging business properties.

Three recently completed projects in the Third Supervisorial District include Sherman Way Center, which was awarded $370,728. The retail plaza was renovated with modern finishes and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant features. A second grant of $358,339 went to the owner of the property at 18570–74 Sherman Way
to make exterior upgrades for tenants including Vidal Hernandez Income Tax, Model Cuts, and Studio Dance 4 U. The third grant went to Cisco Medical Group at 18518 Sherman Way for a new and refreshed façade and improved accessibility for patients including a new wheelchair ramp.
