Six members of the same family, including three children, have died after a fire erupted at a home in Georgia.

Fire crews responded to a residential fire on the 1300 block of Macedonia Road in Newnan shortly before 5am on Monday, with reports of people possible trapped inside, said Coweta County authorities. They arrived to find the home engulfed in flames.

The blaze moved quickly throughout the house and into the attic. Six of the 11 family members died.

‘We woke up this morning to devastating news that our family lost everything, including loved ones, in a tragic and unimaginable house fire this morning,’ wrote family member Sydney Williams in a GoFundMe page for funeral and medical expenses.
