Six Flags Magic Mountain adds 2 new shows during Holiday in the Park

Six Flags Magic Mountain will twinkle with two million Christmas lights strung between 19 roller coasters this holiday season as Santa Claus returns to dance the night away to rockabilly music under a dusting of faux snow.

The 11th annual Holiday in the Park seasonal event returns to the Valencia amusement park on select dates from Thursday, Nov. 27 through Jan. 4.

The lineup of entertainment includes a new holiday spectacular starring Jack Frost and a new tree lighting ceremony.

The new “Oh Santa” holiday spectacular promotes a message of peace, love and hope with a mix of music, dance and comedy starring the Snow Belles and Holly Jollies.

The new “Magic of the Holidays” tree lighting ceremony in the DC Universe themed area kicks off each evening with a troupe of singers and dancers.

The returning lineup for Holiday in the Park includes live music and character photo ops plus visits with Saint Nick and his better half.

HollyRock travels back to the 1950s with rockabilly music in the Steampunk District area of the park.

Holiday Square near the entrance to the park comes to life at night with thousands of holiday lights and falling “snoap.”

Peppermint Path near the Viper roller coaster invites visitors to stroll through a lighted candy cane lane with live country music from Drivin’ Mama Crazy.

Jingle Bell Way in DC Universe features a dancing light show choreographed to holiday music where visitors walk through 30-foot-tall, larger-than-life ornaments.

Magic Mountain’s Holiday Village offers rides on the North Pole Express, visits with Santa, crafts with Mrs. Claus, wish list stations and holiday photo opportunities.

The “Reindeer Dash” slider show repurposes the “Sliders of the Night” from Fright Fest with a Christmas soundtrack and plenty of ho-ho-ho laughter.

Holiday-inspired foods found throughout the park include cranberry ribs, Christmas pozole, s’mores funnel cakes, turkey bacon burgers, banana pudding and pumpkin pie.

Visitors can roast marshmallows and make s’mores over an open fire pit for an upcharge fee.
