SJPD arrests two men in July shooting that wounded two

SAN JOSE — Two men were arrested in connection to a late-night shooting in July that wounded several people, police said in a news release.

Around 10:50 p.m. on July 20, police responded to a report of a person shot near Monterey Road and Southside Drive, officials said. Officers found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds.

The investigation found that a fight broke out between two groups at an “unsanctioned car show event,” officials said. An adult male suspect who was not involved in the fight approached the groups and shot a handgun into the air. The suspect then shot toward one of the adult males.
