Smash burger spot Chris N Eddy’s to open second location in Van Nuys
Chris N Eddy’s smash burger spot has gone from a pop-up born during the pandemic to a now growing brick and mortar business with a second location in the works for the burger joint.
The restaurant’s latest location, at 14523 Sherman Way in Van Nuys, is expected to open by the end of the year. The new restaurant will be located at the Sherman Square Shopping Center in a 1,100-square foot space that was previously home to Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.
Known for its crispy-edged patties and house-made sauces, Chris N Eddy’s was launched in 2021 as a pop-up by longtime friends Chris Karimian and Eddy Poghosyan. The pair later opened their first brick and mortar location in Hollywood.

“Expanding into the Valley feels like a natural next step for us,” Karimian stated in a press release. “From the beginning, our goal has been to create food that feels both approachable and unforgettable. We’ve been so humbled by the support from our first location, and opening in Van Nuys gives us the chance to share that same experience with the San Fernando Valley community. This new chapter is about growth, but also about staying true to the neighborhood roots that made Chris N Eddy’s what it is today,” he said.
The restaurant is known for its various slider combos, loaded fries and secret menu items like the loaded triple patty slider.
