As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, 267 flights at DIA had been delayed and one was canceled, according to flight-tracking software FlightAware.
Denver weather: When, where and how much snow to expect Wednesday?
Flights headed in and out of DIA were being delayed by an average of 30 minutes at that time because of winter weather, including the need to deice departing planes, according to the FAA.
Ground stops and ground delays are likely at DIA until 8 p.m. Wednesday, federal officials said.
Southwest delayed 195 flights on Wednesday, followed by 38 from United and 18 from SkyWest. Five other airlines delayed between one and five flights.
The sole canceled flight was a Southwest plane scheduled to travel from Phoenix to Denver, according to FlightAware.
