Sun-Times’ final NFL mock draft: Predicting Round 1

The Sun-Times’ final mock draft of 2025:

1. Titans — Miami QB Cam Ward

Ward has been the surefire No. 1 pick for the last two months.

2. Browns — Colorado CB/WR Travis Hunter

He wants to play both positions and the Browns aren’t deep enough at either spot to say no.

3. Giants — Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter

The Giants try to find their own Micah Parsons.

4. Patriots — LSU OT Will Campbell

For all the arguments about the length of Campbell’s arms, there’s no disputing his tape.

5. Jaguars — Michigan DT Mason Graham

The Jaguars’ new brain trust could eye Jeanty here, but Graham might be the safest pick in the draft.

6. Raiders — Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty

Coach Pete Carroll and coordinator Chip Kelly value the run game more than most.

7. Jets — Missouri OT Armand Membou

The Jets take a Round 1 tackle for the second-straight season.

8. Panthers — Georgia LB Jalon Walker

The Panthers might be tempted by a receiver here.

9. Saints — Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams

This is too early for Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, even with Derek Carr’s shoulder injury.

10. Bears — Penn State TE Tyler Warren

The multi-faceted Warren, who ran for 218 yards and threw six times last year, is perfect for mad scientist Ben Johnson.

11. 49ers — Texas T Kelvin Banks Jr.

The Bears will think long and hard about Banks. The 49ers will be glad they passed.

12. Cowboys — North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton

No way Jerry Jones does something boring here.

13. Dolphins — Michigan CB Will Johnson

They want to trade cornerback Jalen Ramsey this weekend. They’ll draft his replacement.

14. Colts — Michigan TE Colston Loveland

Loveland is more receiver than blocker — and becomes the best Colts tight end since Dallas Clark.

15. Falcons — Marshall EDGE Mike Green

The Falcons have been looking for an edge rusher for a decade.

16. Cardinals — Texas CB Jahdae Barron

The Cardinals could go receiver or pass rusher here, too.

17. Bengals — Texas A&M EDGE Shemar Stewart

With or without all-world edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, their line needs help.

18. Seahawks — Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan

The Seahawks get to to work replacing the departed D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

19. Buccaneers — Ole Miss DT Walter Nolen

They’ll go with a defense player, be it on the line or backfield.

20. Broncos — Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson

One of the league’s most nondescript running back rooms (Jaleel McLaughlin, Audric Estime) gets help.

21. Steelers — Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders

Sanders is flawed — but still a better bet than 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers or 36-year-old Kirk Cousins.

22. Chargers — Texas WR Matthew Golden

The Bolts need playmakers.

23. Packers — Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka

He’s polished and contribute from Day 1.

24. Vikings — North Dakota State G Grey Zabel

A South Dakota-born player named Grey just has to go to Minnesota, right?

25. Texans — Ohio State OT Josh Simmons

He could go higher if teams are comfortable with his left knee post-surgery.

26. Rams — Alabama LB Jihaad Campbell

He’s recovering from surgery to fix a torn shoulder.

27. Ravens — Georgia S Malaki Starks

They have only three safeties on their roster.

28. Lions — Alabama OG Tyler Booker

Building the line has become the Lions’ way.

29. Commanders — Missouri WR Luther Burden III

At East St. Louis High, he was once the top recruit in Illinois.

30. Bills — Michigan DT Kenneth Grant

They haven’t drafted a defensive tackle since 2018.

31. Chiefs — Oregon OT Josh Conerly

The Super Bowl gave a blueprint on how to beat the Chiefs. They need more line help.

32. Eagles — Oregon DT Derrick Harmon

The league’s best D-line gets better.

Latest on the Bears
Bears players drafted by Poles in the last three years have been on the field for roughly 35% of all possible snaps. How does that compare to other NFL teams?
Wright, the No. 10 pick two years ago, played significant time at left tackle in college.
A self-described “numbers guy,” Johnson nonetheless decided to give poetry a try Tuesday.
