Surfside Beach in Seal Beach closed after shark sighting

Surfside Beach, at the south end of Seal Beach, was closed Saturday evening after a shark sighting, police said.

The Seal Beach Police Department announced the closure on social media around 6 p.m., saying the Seal Beach Marine Safety Lifeguard Department was on scene and investigating.
