Police arrested a man on Wednesday, Oct. 16, who was nicknamed “Postal Malone” because of his resemblance to music artist Post Malone, and who is suspected of stealing packages from an Irvine apartment complex mailroom last month, authorities said.
“Things are ‘Better Now’ that Jacob Daniel Rodriguez, 45, of Santa Ana, has been arrested for burglary,” the Irvine Police Department wrote in an Instagram post referencing several of the artist’s song titles.
The Santa Ana resident, who has tattoos on the right side of his face and his right hand, is accused of stealing an “armload” of packages from the mailroom of an apartment complex on Spectrum Center Drive on Sept. 21. The value of the stolen items remains under investigation.
Police said tips from the public helped lead to his arrest. They did not elaborate on the tips.
Rodriguez was booked into the Orange County Jail.
