Teen girl appears in court charged with murder after man, 25, knifed to death in quiet cul-de-sac

A TEEN girl has appeared in court charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in the street.

Jack Cadwallader was rushed to hospital following the horror in Maidstone, Kent, but sadly couldn’t be saved.

Paige Poulton, 19, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today charged with murder.

The teen, who wore a grey jumper, spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth and address.

Poulton was remanded into custody to next appear at the same court on July 31, Kent Online reports.

Police were scrambled to the quiet cul-de-sac at around 1.30am on Tuesday following reports of an assault.

Tributes flooded in for Jack following the tragedy from devastated family and friends.

One person said: “I cant believe I am writing this RIP Jack Cadwallader.

“I had the best times ever with you. U were my bestie. Love you mate xxxxxxx so so sad”.

Another person wrote: “This was unexpected – sending love to all the family and deepest condolences.”

While one pal wrote: “Rip Jack, you were loved by many and will be missed, always remember year 1-5 in little school me and you were inseparable. Till we meet again fella, fly high”.

Kent Police said: “A suspect has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed in Harrietsham near Maidstone.

“Paige Poulton was arrested after Jack Cadwallader was reportedly assaulted outside a property in Southfields Way, during the early hours of Tuesday 2 July 2024.

“An investigation is being led by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate and a man who was also arrested has now been released without charge.”
