Teen injured in Gage Park shooting

A teen was injured in a shooting in Gage Park on Sunday afternoon, Chicago police said.

The 15-year-old boy was standing in the 5700 block of South Wolcott Avenue about 5:14 p.m. when a vehicle drove up, someone inside exited and then fired shots, police said. He was shot in the legs and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

The alleged shooters fled in the vehicle, heading east on West 57th Street, police said. No one is in custody.
