A 16-year-old boy was critically injured late Wednesday when he after he lost control of his car and plowed into a tree on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Douglas on the South Side.
He was driving driving in the 3300 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 11:10 p.m. when he lost control of his car and struck a tree in the center median, Chicago police said.
He suffered trauma to his body and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was in critical condition, police said.
No further injuries were reported.
