Otero County search and rescue crews are searching for a 19-year-old man who went into the Arkansas River early Wednesday morning, sheriff’s officials said on social media.

La Junta firefighters rescued another man from the river early Wednesday morning in an unrelated incident, the Otero County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on X at 6:57 a.m.
Search crews include boats, aircraft and drones into Bent County, Sheriff Shawn Mobley wrote on Facebook.
