
Six girls had a narrow escape from a churning waterfall drop after being swept away in a terrifying surge while enjoying a picnic.
The dramatic moment unfolded on Sunday at Lagurahi hill waterfall in Gaya, Bihar, India, as families enjoyed a day out by the cascading water.
Visitors are shown relaxing at the base of the falls when the water level suddenly rises, creating powerful currents that drag the group downstream.

A near two-minute clip shows them scrambling to safety from the surge of water over rocks a few yards away from the large drop.

Four were rescued almost immediately by bystanders, while another clung to a rock, and the sixth was trapped for several minutes before finally being rescued.
One suffered minor injuries after hitting rocks and was treated at a nearby clinic. Her condition is said to be stable.
Locals say such sudden flooding has never occurred there before, raising fears of unpredictable water surges from the hills.
