Farewell, Hawaii and the Seychelles. Hello, uh, Burkina Faso and Kazakhstan? (Borat voice: Very nice!)
The financial-comparison company HelloSafe has put together a ranking of the world’s most affordable countries to visit this year. Using date from places like Kayak.com and Booking.com, the ranking includes estimated travel budgets that dip as low as $15 per day.
One hitch: Some of these countries are now on the U.S. State Department’s travel-advisory list, so make sure to check with the government (travel.state.gov) before venturing out to explore, say, Myanmar or Mali.
