One person was killed and two injured after a shooting in the parking lot of a strip mall in Chatham late Saturday, Chicago police said.
Police said the three victims were standing outside about 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of West 87th Street just off the Dan Ryan Expressway when someone opened fire, striking at least three people.
A 24-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. A 25-year-old woman was shot in head and was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago, and a 24-year-old man, shot in the left shoulder, was in good condition at Little Company of Mary Hospital, police said.
No one is in custody, authorities said.
