
A young child is in hospital after a dog attack at a birthday party.
The toddler, believed to be aged between two and three, was attacked in Hardwick, Stockton-On-Tees, Teesside this afternoon.
They were taken to University Hospital of North Tees suffering from head and arm injuries, which police described as not life-threatening.
Officers were called to Chopwell Close following the incident and seized an animal.
It has been taken it to specialist kennels, while officers and scenes of crime experts investigate.
Police are yet to confirm the breed of the dog, but witnesses reported seeing a Pitbull-cross.
