Top-tier chefs will be behind the grill at the Hotel Bel-Air’s end of summer barbecue

The Hotel Bel-Air is ending the summer with a barbecue, but this isn’t just some backyard cookout. The food at this one-day event is being prepared by several respected chefs.

Tickets are now on sale for the hotel’s annual visiting chef series, which will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 on the hotel’s Front Lawn. According to a release, nearly a dozen chefs will get together to create a variety of styles of barbecue, from traditional grilled meats to more innovative modern creations.

Some of the chefs on the lineup include Elijah DeLeon of Santa Monica’s famed Rustic Canyon, Burt Bakman, the pitmaster at the highly celebrated Slab barbecue restaurant, Alisa Vannah, of the Italian butcher-inspired restaurant Chi Spacca and Oscar Torres, of the fine dining Verse LA supper club.

But it’s not going to be cheap to eat at this high-end hotel cookout since tickets are $350 per person plus fees, although they do include wine and spirits pairings. And, according to a release, any extra dishes will be redistributed through the Chefs to End Hunger, a local initiative that provides meals to the hungry by donating excess prepared food from  hotels, restaurants, and other food service operations to local charities that serve meals.

The Restaurant at Hotel Bel-Air is at 701 Stone Canyon Road, Los Angeles. For tickets go to sevn.ly/xJKL5AWX.
