TRANSPORT Secretary Louise Haigh has admitted to lying to police in 2014 after claiming her phone was stolen, a report claims.
The cabinet minister misled cops about the device when she gave them a list of items taken from her after she was mugged in 2013.

She included in that list her work mobile, but discovered later on it had not been taken.
Haigh has told Sky News that she regrets the mistake and that she plead guilty to an offence in connection with the bungle.
She said: “Under the advice of my solicitor I pleaded guilty – despite the fact this was a genuine mistake from which I did not make any gain.
“I was a young woman and the experience was terrifying.”
