Trump Cabinet Members Do Pull-Ups at Airport, “Your Daughter Might Beat You”

Sec. Sean Duffy

President Donald Trump‘s Secretary of Transportation (and acting director of NASA) Sean Duffy has been encouraging Americans to ditch their sweatpants for nicer attire while traveling by air.

Yesterday, Duffy installed a pull-up bar apparatus at an airport and demonstrated how many pull-ups he can do. With the video below, he wrote: “Having pull-up bars in airports means you can stay fit while traveling. You can challenge yourself, or better yet, challenge your friends & family during a layover. The downside is your daughter might beat you!”

With Duffy was his daughter Paloma and fellow Trump cabinet member, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who did a lot of pull-ups while campaigning for president in 2024, and more recently in a gym with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Duffy reported: “That happened today as me, my daughter, Paloma, @SecKennedy & @paulsaladinomd celebrated DOT grants to Make Travel Family Friendly Great Again! Tell me how many pull-ups you can do.”

Note: The Department of Transportation just cancelled the final installment of a civil penalty (which totaled $140 million) owed by Southwest Airlines for its winter 2022 operational disruption. Instead of fines compensating the customers affected by the disruption, DOT will credit the remaining $11 million back to the airline “for significantly improving its on-time performance and completion factor through its $112.4 million investment in its Network Operations Control (NOC).”
