Tributes were left on the street where Yassin died, Birmingham Live reported, with one note attached to a bouquet of flowers reading: ‘I can’t believe your gone.
‘You were one of the most caring and genuine people I knew.
‘We made so many memories and I wish we could have made more.’
Another message said ‘Miss you bro, I love you’, while a child’s drawing was also taped to a wall nearby.
Jenny Birch, from the homicide team, said earlier: ‘This was a violent attack in the street which has sadly resulted in the death of Yassin.
‘Yassin’s family have been left absolutely devastated by what has happened, and we are doing everything we can to support them, and to give them answers.’
