Two dead in shooting at Lake Pueblo State Park

Two people were killed in an early morning shooting at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Southeast Region said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The shooting happened at Lake Pueblo’s Sailboard Beach area, CPW officers said in a 2:50 a.m. statement on social media. The area has been closed off for the investigation and is an active crime scene.

The bodies have been removed by the coroner, officials said.

“We believe there is no threat to guests in the park,” CPW Southeast Region posted. “No suspect is in custody.”
