Two dead, one injured in Vallejo shooting

The Vallejo Police Department is currently investigating the cities fifth and sixth homicide of the year after a Monday afternoon shooting in the area of Sacramento Street and Daniels Avenue.

At 5:30 p.m. officers located three adult males, all suffering from at least one gunshot wound. When medical personnel arrived, they pronounced two of the male victims deceased at the scene.

Emergency medical services transported the third male victim to a local hospital for a life-threatening injury.

Solano County Sheriff’s Office, Napa Police Department, and California Highway Patrol Air Unit assisted with creating a perimeter at the scene.

The Vallejo Police Department’s Detective Division responded to the scene and took over the investigation. The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation at this time.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Coroner’s Office. This is the first homicide in Vallejo since April 28 of this year.
