Passengers have been caught in rush hour travel chaos on the Tube after a points failure.

If you’re travelling on the London Underground this morning, there is a chance you might be delayed after severe delays across the network after the meltdown.

The Circle line and Hammersmith & City lines are fully suspended, while some stretches of the District and Hammersmith & City lines have no service.

The Circle line has no service on the entire line while engineers fix a points failure, which hit at Edgware Road this morning, the latest TfL travel status update shows.

Passengers can use tickets on London Buses instead.

Hammersmith & City line is also suspended, and tickets are valid on the buses.

The District line has no service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road due to the points failure, but the rest of the line has good service.

The Metropolitan line is partially suspended between Baker Street and Aldgate because of the points meltdown.

Meanwhile, on the Overground, the Windrush line is also reporting issues due to a separate power supply failure in the New Cross Gate area.

The power cut is also affecting Southern trains to and from London Victoria and London Bridge, and Thameslink services from Bedford.

While lines have reopened between New Cross Gate and Norwood Junction, trains could still be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes, revised or diverted, National Rail warned.

Services are expected to resume by 8am.
