Sean Reay, 29, was arrested in Northern Ireland yesterday and taken to Durham, cops have confirmed.

Keith Edward Dorward, 47, known as Keith Edward Lax, was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday (April 10) and charged last night.

The two men are set to appear in court tomorrow (April 14) – at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court respectively.

They are the fourth and fifth men to be charged with murdering the grandad, who worked at a KP Snacks crisp factory.

Kevin Dorward, 38, is also facing the charge – and appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (April 10).

He appeared alongside his partner Michaela Hetherington, 35, who is accused of perverting the course of justice.

Her charge relates to an allegation that she falsely reported a car had been stolen.

The pair spoke only to confirm their names, dates of birth and addresses during the brief hearing.

Two other men are also accused of murder – Kelvin Craig Lawson, 37, and Thomas Lee Sterling, 21.

Meanwhile, a 49-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender – but later released on bail pending enquiries.

The horror unfolded on April 5 as police raced to the scene following reports of a disturbance.

Tragically, Barry could not be saved and was declared dead at the scene.

A post mortem revealed he died from a single gunshot wound, Durham Police confirmed.

In a touching tribute, Barry’s family said: “Barry was a much-loved father, granddad and partner who will be greatly missed.

“We are truly devastated, and his loss will leave an enormous gap in our lives.”

Superintendent Neil Fuller, of Durham Police, said: “We are not looking for anyone else in connection with Mr Dawson’s death and want to thank the community for their continued support while our extensive enquiries were carried out.

“We appreciate the patience and support residents have given us as officers have worked around-the-clock on our investigation.”

Anyone with information can call the force on 101, or 999 in an emergency, quoting incident number 302 of April 5.
