OAKLAND — Two men were found shot to death at an East Oakland gas station Thursday morning, authorities said.
No other details about the victims were immediately released.
The shooting was reported at about 11:40 a.m. in the area of 98th Avenue and International Boulevard.
A motive for the shooting was not known.
The killings are the 56th and 57th homicides investigated by Oakland police in 2025. Last year at this time, police had investigated 72 homicides.
Before Thursday, the city had gone nearly a month without a homicide. The last person killed was a 36-year-old man fatally shot in Arroyo Viejo Park, near Olive and Ritchie streets, in East Oakland on Oct. 7.
