Two children and two adults were killed when an off-road vehicle crashed into a pickup in Morgan County Wednesday afternoon, according to the State Patrol.

A 22-year-old man, 22-year-old woman, 2-year-old boy and 1-year-old baby were killed in the crash at the intersection of County Road C and County Road 31 about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, State Trooper Gabriel Moltrer said.

The 22-year-old man, who was driving the Polaris RZR, ran a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into the pickup, a Ram 5500. Everyone in the Polaris died at the scene.

The driver of the truck was seriously injured and taken to a hospital. The identity of that driver has not been released publicly.

Moltrer said alcohol or drug use is suspected in the crash but could not say which driver investigators believe to have been under the influence.

He also was not sure the speed of each vehicle at the time of the crash, but he noted the investigation is ongoing.
