Two women ‘sexually assaulted’ in wartime tunnel at historic castle as cops hunt ‘man in his 40s’

TWO women have been sexually assaulted in wartime tunnels at a historic castle.

The victims were attacked within Dover Castle, Kent, at around 1.30pm on Sunday, police have said.

Cops are hunting a man described as “white and in his 40s”.

He is described as having been wearing a black or grey tracksuit at the time of the attack.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Witnesses are sought following a sexual assault at Dover Castle.

“It was reported that at around 1.30pm on Sunday 6 April 2025 two women were sexually assaulted by a man in the wartime tunnels.

“The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s wearing a black or grey tracksuit.

“Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage.

“Investigators are now appealing for witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police.”
