A Met Office temperature map for this weekend

Glasto kicks off next Wednesday, when it is expected to be dry, settled and “much warmer” than in recent weeks.

Posting on TikTok, a Met Office forecaster said: “For many this working week will be dry and it’ll be a bit warmer than it has been.

“But then, that’s not too tricky, is it? Temperatures are going to be on the rise.”

The forecaster added: “For the first time this June, it might actually feel like June.

“When the sun’s out this week, temperatures will be in the low or in some places even mid-20s.

“And yes, there are some early signs that it might get warmer still through the weekend into the early part of next week.

“Still a while off, so keep up to date with the forecast – but some computer models are suggesting temperatures could rise further.

“Glastonbury is even further ahead but these charts suggest drier and warmer weather is at this stage more likely.

“More likely, of course, isn’t a guarantee. We’re really talking about the start of Glastonbury.

“It goes on for a number of days. Our weather is seldom the same for five days in a row.”
