SEVERE flooding has left cars trapped on roads – sparking major travel chaos with even more downpours to come.

A yellow rain warning will be in force until 9am across south Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia and Southern England.

Fast flowing or deep floodwater could pose a danger to life, forecasters said.

Heavy rain will bring the potential for some flooding and disruption to transport.

And there is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services in some parts of the warning zone.

Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.

Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

Spray and flooding could also lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures

And there is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads.
