Urgent hunt for missing schoolgirl, 13, who vanished near town centre as cops reveal crucial details

AN URGENT search has been launched to find a missing schoolgirl, 13, who vanished last night.

Scarlett McGuire, 13, was reported missing from Holmfirth, in Kirklees, West Yorks., after she disappeared yesterday evening.

The teenager was last seen in the Paddock area of Huddersfield wearing wearing black trousers,or leggings, a white shirt and white trainers.  

She is described as standing at five-feet two-inches and is of slim build.  

Scarlett has dark blue hair and wears glasses.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for the public’s help to find Scarlett McGuire, 13, who has been reported missing from Holmfirth.

“Scarlett was last seen in the Paddock area of Huddersfield and was reported missing yesterday evening.  

“She is described as a white female, 5 ft 2 and of slim build.  She has dark blue hair and glasses, and was last seen wearing black trousers or leggings, a white shirt and white trainers.  

“She has connections to the Brighouse and Huddersfield areas.

“Officers are concerned for Scarlett’s welfare and are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to please get in touch.
