Urgent hunt for woman who ‘repeatedly sexually assaulted passenger on train’ as cops release CCTV

AN URGENT search has been launched for a woman who “repeatedly sexually assaulted a woman” on the Elizabeth Line.

The alleged attack unfolded at around 8.30pm on October 12 in London, said the British Transport Police.

Cops have now released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe may have information which could help with their investigation.

The train was travelling from Tottenham Court road to Maidenhead, said cops.

Anyone who recognises the woman in the CCTV image released has been urged to come forward.

The force stressed she is only a person they wish to speak to at this stage of the investigation.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating an incident of sexual assault are today releasing this image in connection.

“At around 8.30pm on 12 October, a woman on board an Elizabeth Line service from Tottenham Court Road to Maidenhead was repeatedly sexually assaulted by another woman.

“Officers believe the woman in the image may have information which could help with their investigation.

“Anyone who recognises her is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 223 of 13 October.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
