A variety of baked products including bread, bagels, cookies and croutons have been recalled for three undeclared allergens that could cause life-threatening reactions.
New Grains Gluten Free Bakery on Friday recalled more than a dozen of its savory and sweet items because they could contain eggs, milk and soy, which were not listed on their labels.
The affected products have anywhere between one to all three of the ingredients that are harmful to people allergic to them.
Nine products have undeclared eggs: Artisan White Bread, Artisan Multigrain Bread, Artisan Sourdough Bread, Artisan Cinnamon Raisin Bread, Blueberry Bagels, Cinnamon Raisin Bagels, Plain Bagels, Multigrain Bagels and Artisan Sourdough Ciabatta Rolls.

Two products have undeclared eggs and milk: Artisan Seasoned Croutons and Seasoned Bread Crumbs.
And five products have undeclared eggs, milk and soy: Chocolate Chip Cookie, Dye-Free Frosted Sugar Cookie, Frosted Sugar Cookie, Coconut Macaroon Cookie and Brownie Chocolate Chip.
They all have ‘gluten-free’ labels and the New Grains brand label in red, blue, green, purple, orange or pink.
The breads and croutons were packaged in vacuum-sealed clear plastic bags, and the cookies were in regular clear plastic bags.

All recalled items were distributed in retail stores in Utah from April 7 to 21 and had lot numbers 90–107.
A notice published by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which protects public health and ensures items are safe, stated: ‘People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs, soy, or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.’
There have not been any reports of consumers becoming ill from eating the recalled products.

Consumers are advised not to eat the breads and sweets and return them for a full refund. Anyone with questions is urged to call New Grains Gluten Free Bakery.
The Utah-based company’s mission is ‘to create and deliver high quality, healthy, and delicious gluten-free products to our customers, and make every eating experience satisfying, exceeding their expectations’, according to its website.
It comes a week after the FDA upgraded a recall of three types of bread made by Upper Crust Bakery LP over possible glass fragments at the surface of the food.
