Veterans Day 2025: Free meals, dining deals for the military

Restaurants will be honoring the U.S. military with offers including free steak, pizza and coffee on Veterans Day today.

Most deals are for veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. military, although some may extend to first responders. And many offers are for dine-in only. Proof of service is usually required.

Here are several deals announced by restaurant chains on their websites, in social media or in news releases:

Black Angus Steakhouse: Veterans and active military personnel can get a complimentary 6-ounce sirloin steak entrée. Military families as well as health care workers and teachers can get a 15% discount off their table‘s check via the chain’s year-round Hero discount.

California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active-duty service members can get a free entrée and beverage from a special prix fixe menu when dining in at participating locations.

Lazy Dog Restaurants: Veterans and active-duty military can get a free Fireside Favorite, which is a $15 meal with a S’more Brownie Sundae.

Chili’s Grill & Bar: Veterans and active military can choose from select items for a free meal on Nov. 11. The offer is for dine-in only. Chili’s website recommends you call ahead with any questions.

Dunkin’ Donuts: All active and retired military members cam get a free doughnut today.

Denny’s: Qualified guests can get a free Original Grand Slam breakfast at participating locations from 5 a.m. to noon on Nov. 11. The meal includes two buttermilk pancakes, two strips of bacon, two sausage links and two eggs cooked to order. dennys.com

Golden Corral: Military Appreciation Night will be 4 p.m. until closing on Nov. 11. Active and retired military members can receive a free buffet and drink 4 p.m. until closing.

In-N-Out Burger: Veterans, active-duty military, reserves and National Guard members can receive a free meal with any burger, fries and beverage all day Nov. 11.  Also, current and former members of the U.S. military will receive a special edition Veterans Day decal.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza: Veterans and active military can get free Garlic Sticks with a purchase of $25 or more via the Mountain Rewards app or with code VT25 Nov. 11-17. Throughout the month, the chain is selling heart-shaped pizzas with $1 for every pizza sold donated to Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.

Red Lobster: Veterans and active military members can get an order of Walt’s Favourite Shrimp at participating locations.

Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty service members can get a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger. The offer is good for dine-in only.

Round Table Pizza: Customers can get 15% off orders with the promo code  RTP321 at participating locations from Nov. 11-14.
