The interstate is closed at Exit 285 for Airport Boulevard and, as of 8 a.m., Waze users were reporting standstill traffic, according to CDOT officials.

Traffic is able to pass the crash on I-70’s shoulder, but drivers should expect delays in the area and take alternate routes where possible, CDOT officials said. Delays could add up to 30 minutes to drivers’ commutes.

Just two miles down the interstate, westbound I-70’s left two lanes are also closed for another crash at the exit for Peoria Street.

No estimated time of reopening was available Friday morning.
