What time is the presidential debate tonight?

The first presidential debate will air on CNN on June 27, 2024. The face-off between the two presidential hopefuls will begin at 9 pm ET.

The 90-minute debate is divided into six 15-minute segments.

Each candidate is granted two minutes to deliver uninterrupted remarks before proceeding to an open debate.

Viewers can expect Joe Biden and Donald Trump to spar over their respective ages, their stances on the Israel-Hamas war, and Trump’s recent criminal conviction.

Independent Party candidate Robert F. Kennedy will also not participate in the debate.

The debate will air live on CNN, CNN International, CNN en Español, and CNN Max. For cable cutters, it will also stream on CNN.com.

The debate will also be simulcast on CBS television stations and CBS News streaming. 

PBS News, MSNBC, and NBC will also simulcast the debates on their respective networks.

A second debate is scheduled for September 10, 2024, and will be aired by ABC News.

The debate is being held on Thursday, June 27, at CNN’s Atlanta studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Airing live from Atlanta, Georgia, CNN has revealed that there will not be a live audience in attendance and that the participant’s microphones will be muted until it’s their turn to speak.

This is to stop the debate from turning into a screaming match like the first debate in 2020.

The debate will be moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, both of whom have moderated presidential debates in the past.
