San Jose State storylines: Wide receiver Danny Scudero had 189 yards and a touchdown in his first game as a Spartan, which is the most receiving yards in a Spartan debut this century. … Arizona transfer wide receiver Malachi Riley, who left the game against Central Michigan with an apparent lower-body injury, is not expected to play this Saturday. Riley underwent an MRI during the week and SJSU will have a better idea about his availability for the rest of the season next week according to head coach Ken Niumatalolo. The game was Arch Manning’s third career start and Texas is 2-1 in games where Manning starts. … Running back Quintrevion Wisner had 16 carries for 80 yards and running back CJ Baxter had 10 carries for 40 yards as well as five receptions for 25 yards.
