A rain-soaked forecast washed out the White Sox‘ game against the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday evening at Rate Field.
The teams will play a straight doubleheader starting at 1:10 p.m. Thursday.
Pitcher Sean Burke will start the first game, followed by Mike Vasil in the second match-up, which will start 30-45 minutes after the conclusion of the first.
A flood watch was in effect for Cook County as the originally scheduled 6:40 p.m. game time approached, with heavy rains expected to continue well past sunset.
The Sox are looking to snap a six-game losing streak following their 12-2 clunker of a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.
