A man was fatally shot late Friday while riding in a vehicle in Austin on the West Side.
The shooting occurred about 11:15 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Lake Street, Chicago police said.
Jerrell J. Jordan, 27, was a passenger in a vehicle when someone in a blue sedan opened fire, striking Jordan in the chest, police said.
Jordan, who lives in Albany, Wisconsin, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Area Four detectives are investigating.
