Citations were pending for a motorist who ran into a pedestrian, killing her late Monday in Ashburn on the Southwest Side.
Around 11:25 p.m., the woman ran into the street in the 3800 block of West Columbus Avenue when a westbound white SUV going west hit her, Chicago police said.
The unidentified woman suffered trauma to the body and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she died, police said.
The 48-year-old driver remained on scene and citations were pending.
