A woman accused of stabbing a man 60 times Sunday night in Greeley told police she killed him because she was “hearing voices.”
Greeley police arrested 33-year-old Anissa Hernandez Monday morning on one count of first-degree murder after she called them the night prior to let them know she had stabbed someone and he was dead, according to an affidavit for her arrest.
When police responded Sunday evening to the apartment in the 1700 block of 31st Street Road, the living room was “in disarray” and the victim was covered in blood, the affidavit states. The man was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to the affidavit.
Both and officer on scene and a Weld County Coroner’s assistant determined the man had been stabbed roughly 60 times, the affidavit states.
Police later searched the apartment and found two knives covered in blood, according to the affidavit.
